Baylor Wins NCAA Title, Nats-Braves Today, Caps-Isles Tonight
Baylor routed Gonzaga last night 86-70 to win the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship. With the win, the Bears derailed Gonzaga’s dream of an undefeated season, and won their first-ever men’s basketball national title. Baylor finishes at 28-2, while the Bulldogs end up 31-1.
The Washington Nationals will finally open their 2021 MLB season today when they host the Atlanta Braves. The Nats did not play their scheduled series with the Mets this past weekend due to COVID issues on the team. Washington, who will send Max Scherzer to the mound, will be without several key players for today’s game. Air time is 3:35 on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
The Washington Capitals return to the ice tonight when they skate against the New York Islanders. The Caps are in first place in the NHL’s Eastern Division, 2 points ahead of the Isles. Air time is 6:45 on The River 95-3.
And, on the SU docket today, Field Hockey hosts CNU, and Women’s Soccer plays at Bridgewater.
