Nats Try To Keep Season Alive, Ravens Win, Skins Sign AP
The Nationals are back in action tonight as they try to salvage their season against the Phillies. The Nats start the day 7 and a half games behind Atlanta in the NL East, and will send Tanner Roark to the mound tonight against the Phils. Roark is 5-0 in his last 5 starts. Air time from DC is 6:30 on NBC Sports Radio 1450.
The Orioles were nipped by the Jays last night, 5-3. Craig Gentry was 3-for-4 for the new-look O’s, who take on Toronto tonight at 7:07 north of the border.
The Ravens held on to beat the Colts 20-19 in pre-season action. Baltimore QB’s were a combined 20-for-32, including a 6-for-8 night from backup Robert Griffin,III.
The Redskins signed veteran running back Adrian Peterson yesterday to a 1-year deal. The veteran fills a hole left by a rash of injuries at the position. The ‘Skins host the Broncos Thursday night at Fed-Ex field.
Surprise! The AP Preseason College Football Poll is out and Alabama is ranked number-one for the third consecutive season. WVU comes in at 17, while Va Tech is ranked number 20.
