Seahawks Defeat Eagles, Steelers-Ravens PPD Again, Sun Bowl Canceled
The Seattle defense sacked Philadelphia QB Carson Wentz 6 times, and DK Metcalf hauled in 10 passes for 177 yards as the Seahawks held off the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football, 23-17. Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson threw for 230 yards and a score as the Seahawks solidified their playoff standing at 8-3. With the loss, the Eagles fall to 3-7-1 in the NFC East.
The NFL game between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers has been postponed again. The contest, originally to have been played on Thanksgiving, will now be played tomorrow night, according to ESPN. That pushes the Steelers’ game with The Washington Football Team to Monday night.
The Sun Bowl, which was to have matched up the Pac-12 with the ACC, has been canceled due to the pandemic, according to CBS4 in El Paso, Texas. The Sun Bowl has been played every year since 1935.
And this afternoon in college basketball, number-15 Virginia hosts the Saint Francis Red Flash. Tip off in C’Ville is at 4pm.
