The Shenandoah women travel to Bridgewater tonight for a 7pm tip off. The Hornets are still in contention for the ODAC regular-season title at 14-7, and 10-4 in the league. Both the SU men and women will return home Saturday for Senior Day.
WVU dropped a spot to number 14 in the latest AP College Basketball Poll after a 1-1 week. Virginia remained in the “others receiving votes” category, while Baylor remains the top team in college basketball.
Defense was optional again last night for the Washington Capitals, who were outscored by the New York Islanders 5-3. It was the second consecutive regulation home loss for the Caps, who have been outscored 12-5 in their last 2 games. Former Capitals coach Barry Trotz is now 4-0 in DC since leading Washington to the Stanley Cup in 2018. Next up for the Caps, a Thursday 9pm skate at Colorado on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
