Caps Outscore Kings, Big Win For The Cavs, Limited HS Hoop
In boys high school basketball last night:
RMA lost to Seton 73-49
Massanutten Military beat Fishburne Military 78-32
Tonight, it’s Warren County versus Skyline at 7:30 on Sports Radio 1450.
The Virginia Cavaliers stopped North Carolina’s 7-game win streak last night in a big 69-61 ACC road win. The number-3 ‘Hoos withstood a 13-4 Tar heels run midway through the contest to improve to 21-2 on the season. The number-8 Tar Heels fall to 19-5.
The number-22 Virginia Tech Hokies are back on the hardwoods tomorrow against Georgia Tech.
Evgeny Kuznetsov scored twice and Alex Ovechkin scored his 37th goal of the season in a 6-4 Capitals win last night against the Kings. The Caps pulled away from Los Angeles with a 3-goal second period as they improve to 31-18-7 on the season. Next up for Washington, a 7pm skate against Columbus. Because of high school basketball tonight, no Caps on Sports Radio 1450.
The Washington Wizards fell to the Detroit Pistons last night 121-112. Bradley Beal led the 24-33 Wizards with 32 points.
And, Phil Mickleson won the delayed AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am yesterday, outlasting Paul Casey for his 44th career win on the PGA Tour. The two players had to complete the final 2 holes yesterday.
