Cavaliers Roll, Comeback Win For WVU, Caps Skate Tonight

Sam Hauser and Jay Huff each had 21 points as number-8 Virginia blew out Syracuse last night 81-58. The Cavaliers drained 14 3-pointers, as they improved to 11-2 on the season. The Orange fell to 9-5 overall.

Down by 12 in the second half, number-11 WVU stormed back for an 88-87 win over 10th-ranked Texas Tech last night in Morgantown. Miles Mcbride’s driving layup with 6 seconds left completed the comeback, as the Mounties improved to 11-4. Mcbride led West Virginia with 24.

The Washington Capitals are back on the ice tonight when they host the New York Islanders. The 3-0-3 Caps have earned at least a point in all 6 of their games so far. Air time is 6:45 on The River 95-3.

And, Shenandoah women’s basketball hosts St. Mary’s of Maryland tonight. Tip off is at 7. A reminder that no fans are permitted inside the Wilkins Center.
