VBL Update…Nats Rained Out…O’s Doubled Up In Arizona

and Harrisonburg nipped Staunton 5-4

The Washington Nationals game with the Colorado Rockies in DC was rained out last night. That game has been rescheduled as part of a Wednesday twinbill at Nats Park. Game times Wednesday are 1:05 and 7:05, with the action on Sports Radio 1450. The Nats take on the Rockies tonight on Sports Radio 1450. Air time 6:35.
The Nationals made several roster moves yesterday, including placing Ryan Zimmerman on the 10-day injured list. The Nats’ first baseman re-injured his foot Sunday night against the Braves.
The Baltimore Orioles were doubled up by the Arizona Diamondbacks last night 6-3. The D-Backs sent 9 men to the plate in a 3-run first inning and never looked back. Game 2 of the series is tonight at 9:40.
NFL teams open training camps this week. The Washington Redskins camp begins tomorrow in Richmond with the big question mark at the quarterback position. Veteran Case Keenum and first-round draft pick Dwayne Haskins will be competing for the starting job. The ‘Skins take on the Cleveland Browns August 8th in the pre-season opener.
And, the 20th season on Shenandoah University football begins on September 7th when the Hornets host Methodist on the Sprint Field of Shentel Stadium. Once again, the play-by-play of SU Football can be heard on The River 95-3.
