VBL Scoreboard, O’s and Nats Back In Action Tonight

In the Valley Baseball League last night, New Market scored all of their runs in the sixth inning and downed Winchester 5-3. Purcellville and Charlottesville were also winners. Among the games tonight in the VBL, Winchester hosts Purcellville, Front Royal makes the short trip to Strasburg, while Woodstock heads to New Market.

The Washington Nationals continue their 9-game road trip tonight with a stop in Tampa. The Nats are currently 24-32, seven games back of first place New York in the NL East. Air time is 6:40 on Sports Radio 1450.

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Orioles, who are 4-1 in June, start a short 2-game series with the Mets tonight at Camden Yards. First pitch is 7:05.

And, top-seed Novak Djokovic and number-3 Rafael Nadal advanced to the Men’s quarterfinals of the French Open tennis tournament. on the Women’s side, American Coco Gauff also moved on to the quarters.
