SU Update, Virginia Enters Top 25, WVU Drops Out
On the Shenandoah University sports scene:
In a ceremony yesterday at Jim Barnett Park, SU and The City of Winchester signed the memo agreement regarding the University’s upkeep of baseball and softball fields at the park. Under the agreement, Shenandoah would make major improvements to several fields, including Bridgeforth Field. SU baseball and softball would then have fields to call their own, and the city would also have use of those ballparks for Handley High, Winchester Baseball, and The Winchester Royals. In addition, there would be no tax burden to city residents. The improvements will be made over the next year.
