Vikes Top Bears, March Madness In One Place, 3 Miami Games PPD

Vikings QB Kirk Cousins threw for 292 yards and 2 touchdowns as Minnesota topped Chicago in the NFL Monday Night game last night. Cousins’ TD pass early in the fourth quarter broke a 13-13 tie as the Vikings improved to 4-5 on the season.

The NCAA announced yesterday that it will hold the entire 2021 “March Madness” men’s basketball tournament in one place due to coronavirus concerns. Indianapolis will be the likely location, with the NCAA in talks with city officials. Games would be played at various sites around the host city. No word yet on the NCAA women’s basketball tournament.

The ACC yesterday rescheduled number-12 Miami’s remaining 3 football games, against Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and North Carolina, because of coronavirus cases in the program. 2 more college football games, including the Charlotte-Marshall contest, were postponed this weekend.

And, Alabama tops this week’s AP College Football Poll. The rest of the top five is Notre Dame, Ohio State, Clemson, and Texas A&M. Liberty moves up a spot to number-21, while Marshall is tied for 15th.
