Caps Keep Rolling, Chiefs Edge Chargers On MNF, SU Set For Finale
The Washington Capitals improved to 16-3-4 with a 5-2 home win against Anaheim last night. Alex Ovechkin had a power play goal for the Caps, in a game that featured a 10-player brawl in which Washington’s Garnet Hathaway was ejected for spitting. Next up for the Capitals, a road contest against the Rangers tomorrow at 7:45 on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
In the NFL Monday Night game, the Kansas City Chiefs took advantage of 4 Phillip Rivers interceptions and beat the Los Angeles Chargers 24-17. The Chiefs improved to 7-4, while the Chargers drop to 4-7 on the season.
In college hoop, WVU used a 10-0 run in the second half and survived against Northern Colorado in Morgantown 69-61. The Mounties stay unbeaten at 3-0.
And the Shenandoah Hornets play their 2019 football finale this Saturday against the Methodist Monarchs at Shentel Stadium. The game is a rescheduled contest from September. Air time is 11:30 am on The River 95-3.
