Monday Night Scorefest, ‘Skins Sign Sanchez, Caps Win In OT
The undefeated Shenandoah University women’s basketball team takes to the road for a 6pm game tonight at Marymount. The Hornets are off to a 3-0 start. The Hornet men are off until Sunday when they play at Emory & Henry in a 3pm ODAC contest. Air time is 2:45 on The River 95-3.
In the highest scoring Monday Night game ever, the Rams beat the Chiefs last night 54-51. Rams QB Jared Goff threw for over 400 yards and 4 touchdowns, out-dueling Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes, as LA improves to 10-1 on the season. The game marked the first time in NFL history where 2 teams have scored at least 50 points in the same game.
The Washington Redskins have signed veteran quarterback Mark Sanchez as a backup to Colt McCoy, as the team prepares for a Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. The ‘Skins lost starting QB Alex Smith for the season on Sunday as he suffered a broken leg.
The Washington Capitals needed overtime, but got the win last night in Montreal 5-4. Lars Eller scored the game-winner in the extra period, as the Caps improve to 10-7-3. They’ll return home to face Chicago tomorrow night. Air time is 6:45 on NBC SportsRadio 1450.
And, the Washington Wizards have fined John Wall for cursing at his head coach Scott Brooks. The incident took place during practice, and Wall has since apologized to Brooks.
And, the latest AP College Basketball Poll has UVA ranked number 4. Duke holds down the top spot.
