SU Update…Rodgers Leads Pack On MNF…Brewers Blank Dodgers
On the Shenandoah University sports scene, Men’s golf is eighth after day one of the VSGA Intercollegiate tournament at Sleepy Hole Golf Club in Suffolk, Va. Day two of the tournament, hosted by Virginia Wesleyan, is today.
Also today, SU Women’s soccer hosts Eastern Mennonite, and volleyball travels to Gettysburg. Hornet football hits the road Saturday at Emory & Henry. Air time is 12:30 on The River 95-3.
Aaron Rodgers threw for 425 yards, and Mason Crosby booted a game-winning
27-yard field goal as time expired, as the Green Bay Packers beat the San Francisco 49ers in the Monday Night NFL game, 33-30. Rodgers led the Packers to 10 points in the final 3 minutes, as Green Bay improves to 3-2-1 on the season.
In the MLB Playoffs, the Milwaukee Brewers blanked the LA Dodgers 4-0 last night to take a 2-1 series lead in the NLCS. Game 4 of that series takes place tonight at Dodger Stadium. This afternoon just after 5, it’s Game 3 of the ALCS, as the Houston Astros entertain the Boston Red Sox. That series is tied at a game apiece.
And, the Washington Capitals return to the ice tomorrow when they host the New York Rangers. The Caps have lost 2 straight, and have been outscored 10-2 in those 2 contests. Air time is 6:45 on NBC Sports Radio 1450.
