SU Update, Nats And Astros Ready For WS, Pats Roll On MNF
There were no events yesterday on the Shenandoah University sports schedule. Today, Volleyball hosts Mary Baldwin at 7 at the Wilkins Center.
After a long rest, the Washington Nationals will finally play Game 1 of the World Series tonight in Houston. The Astros, winners of 107 games in the regular season, will represent the American League in the Fall Classic and will have home field advantage. The Nats, who reached the World Series for the first time in franchise history, will send Max Scherzer to the mound against Houston’s Gerrit Cole. First pitch is scheduled for 8:08, and you can hear the call on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
And, the New England Patriots blanked the New York Jets in the Monday Night NFL game, 33-0. Tom Brady was a pedestrian 31 of 45 for 249 yards, as unbeaten New England took advantage of 5 Jets turnovers. New York falls to 1-5 on the season.
