Nats Try To Stay Alive Tonight, SU Update, Steelers Rally On MNF
There were no athletic events scheduled at Shenandoah University yesterday. Men’s Soccer travels to Randolph-Macon for a 7pm match in Ashland.
The Washington Nationals have no margin for error as they return to Houston for Game 6 of the World Series tonight. The Nats were swept by the Astros this past weekend in the 3 games played in DC, as they were outscored 19-3. Stephen Strasburg will try to save the season tonight for Washington, as he goes against Justin Verlander in the 8:07 start. Air time is 7pm on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
The Pittsburgh Steelers rallied from an early 14-0 deficit and beat the winless Miami Dolphins 27-14. James Conner rushed for 145 yards and Mason Rudolph threw for 251 yards and a pair of scores to lead the Steelers. Pittsburgh improved to 3-4, while Miami is now 0-7.
The Washington Capitals finish their Canadian road trip tonight against the Totonto Maple Leafs. The Caps, who sit atop the NHL’s Metro Division, are 3-0-1 on the trip. Face off is at 7pm.
And, LSU is the new number one in the latest AP College Football Poll. The rest of the top five is Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, and Penn State.
