SU Women’s Soccer Ready For ODAC Quarters, Pats Win On MNF
Shenandoah University women’s soccer makes a trip to Randolph-Macon Wednesday afternoon, as ODAC Tournament play begins. The 9-9 Hornets, the number-7 seed, will be looking for their sixth semi-final appearance in the last 7 seasons. It will be a tough task, as the Yellow Jackets lead the nation in goals-against average, having given up only 2 goals all season. Match time Wednesday is 3:30.
SU Football resumes Saturday with a Senior Day ODAC game against Guilford. The Hornets can finish 5-5 with wins in their final 2 contests. Air time Saturday from Shentel Stadium is 12:30 on The River 95-3.
The New England Patriots won a hard-fought 25-6 decision against the Buffalo Bills last night in the NFL Monday Night game. The Pats needed an 84-yard interception return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal the deal. It was the first Monday Night appearance for the Bills in 10 years, as they fall to 2-6. The Patriots improve to 6-2 on the season.
The Washington Wizards are in Memphis tonight for an 8pm tip against the Grizzlies. The Wiz have struggled to a 1-5 start.
The Capitals return to the ice Thursday night against the Montreal Canadiens, as their long road trip continues. The Caps are 5-3-2, tied for third in the NHL’s Metro Division. Air time is 7:15 on NBC SportsRadio 1450.
And, Thursday night on the award-winning Sports Dogs After Hours, our guests will be Brad Fauber of the NOVA Daily to sort out the high school football playoff picture, and Trey Kern, newest member of the Handley HS Athletic Hall of Fame. Air time is just after 7 on The River 95-3.
