Brees Blows Away ‘Skins…LA, Houston Advance…Bauserman ODAC POW
Shenandoah quarterback Hayden Bauserman has been named the ODAC Offensive Player Of The Week for the second time this season. The senior from Woodstock Central threw for 490 yards and completed a school-record 47 passes in the Hornets 59-34 win Saturday over Hampden-Sydney.

Drew Brees set an all-time career passing yards mark last night as the New Orleans Saints routed the Washington Redskins, 43-19 in the NFL Monday Night game. Brees completed 26-of-29 passes for 363 yards as he carved up the ‘Skins defense with a near-perfect performance. The Saints improve to 4-1, while Washington falls to 2-2.
In the MLB Playoffs:
Houston advanced to the ALCS with an 11-3 win over Cleveland. The Astros hammered 3 home runs in the win, and will await the winner of the Boston-New York series.
The Red Sox have a 2-games-to-1 advantage in that ALDS, after a 16-1 thrashing of the Yankees. Boston’s Brock Holt became the first major-league player to hit for the cycle in a postseason game. Game 4 of that series is tonight in New York.
And, the Dodgers eliminated the Braves yesterday with a 6-2 win in Atlanta . Former Oriole Manny Machado broke open the contest with a 3-run homer, as the Dodgers take the series 3 games to 1. LA will now face Milwaukee in the NLCS.
The Caps get back on the ice tomorrow as they host the Vegas Golden Knights, the team they beat in last season’s Stanley Cup Final. Face off is 8pm on NBC SportsRadio 1450.
