The Atlanta Braves ended the Washington National‘s 6-game winning streak last night with a 4-2 win in Atlanta. With the loss, the Nats fall our of first place in the NL East. The two teams go at it again tonight. Air time is 7pm on our sister station, Sports Radio 1450. Stephen Strasburg takes the mound for the Nationals.
The Washington Capitals and Vegas Golden Knights resume the Stanley Cup Final on Saturday night in DC at Capital One Arena with the series tied at 1 game each. The Caps say Evgeni Kuznetzov is listed as day to day after taking a brutal hit in game two. The puck drops at 8pm tomorrow and can be heard on our sister station, Sports Radio 1450.
Valley League Baseball season begins tonight around the area. In tonight’s opening games, Front Royal Cardinals will play at Purcellville Cannons; Strasburg Express goes to Winchester Royals; Covington Lumberjacks host Waynesboro Generals; Charlottesville TomSox travel to Staunton Braves; and, Woodstock River Bandits visit New Market Rebels.
