SU B-Ball Tonight, Caps Beat Sharks, Latest CFP Rankings
Shenandoah University Men’s Basketball goes for it’s 4th straight win tonight when they host Marymount in a non-league game at the Wilkins Center. The Hornets are off to a 3-2 start on the young season, and are undefeated at home. The Saints are 5-2. Air time is 6:40 on The River 95-3.
The Hornet Women are also 3-2 as they head to the Baltimore area tonight for a 7pm tip against Goucher.
And, 3 SU Field Hockey players earned All-Region honors in selections announced yesterday by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
Sophomore Kelsey Jones was named to the first team, while sophomore Isabella Morande and senior Taylor Hayes were second team selections.
The Washington Capitals got off to a fast start with a 3-goal first period and cruised to a 5-2 win last night over the San Jose Sharks. Jakub Vrana and Garnet Hathaway each had 2 goals for the Caps, who improved to 20-4-5 on the season. Next up for Washington, a 10pm skate in LA against the Kings. Air time is 9:45 on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
In college hoop tonight, number-5 Virginia visits Purdue for a 7:15 tip.
And, the penultimate College Football Playoff rankings were released last night, with Ohio State at number one, followed by LSU, Clemson, and Georgia. On the outside, looking in are Utah, Oklahoma, and Baylor, all at 11-1.
