The Shenandoah University women turned the ball over 33 times last night in a 71-59 defeat at Randolph Macon. The Hornets were led by Ashley Stone’s 15 points, as they fell to 10-12 overall and 6-9 in the ODAC. SU will play at Hollins Saturday at 2. The Hornet men will travel to Bridgewater for a 7pm tip tonight on The River 95-3.

The Washington Capitals got a much-needed 3-2 win in DC against Vancouver. Alex Ovechkin recorded a point in the victory and became the highest-scoring Russian player in NHL history. The long homestand continues tomorrow for the Caps, as they entertain Colorado at 7 on Sports Radio 1450.

And the Wizards John Wall will be out for about a year due to an Achilles injury suffered in a fall at his home. Wall had his left heel operated on last month and developed an infection before the accident at his home.
