Nationals News, Beal Out For 2020 Season, 2021 9-11 Game Scheduled

Despite coronavirus uncertainties, the Washington Nationals announced their schedule for the 2020 season, which will begin on July 23rd with a matchup against the New York Yankees. The game will be broadcast by ESPN, with a 7:08 first pitch from Nationals Park.

In other Nats news, the Washington Post has reported that Juan Soto is isolating after coming into contact with a player that has tested positive for COVID-19. Nationals’ manager Dave Martinez revealed over the weekend that 2 Nats players have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Washington Wizards’ leading scorer Bradley Beal won’t take part in the NBA restart. Beal is skipping the remainder of the 2020 season because of a rotator cuff injury.

And, according to Newsday, the New York Mets will host the crosstown Yankees on the 20th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks next season, on September 11, 2021
