Corbin Struggles In Nats Loss, VBL Update, USA Women Rout Thailand

Patrick Corbin gave up a first inning grand slam in a 7-5 Nationals loss to the Chicago White Sox. It was the third consecutive loss for the struggling left hander, who is now 5-5 on the season. Anthony Rendon homered twice for the Nats, who are now 7 games out of first place in the NL East. The Nationals are off today before starting a 4-game set at home against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Air time Thursday night is 6:35 on Sports Radio 1450.
Baltimore doubled up Toronto last night 4-2 at Camden Yards. John Means picked up the win for the O’s, striking out 7 in 5 innings of work. The two teams play again tonight at 7:05.
The USA women’s soccer team scored a FIFA World Cup record 13 goals in a shutout win over Thailand yesterday. The margin of victory was also the largest in World Cup history, as the USA scored 10 goals in the second half alone. The Americans will now play Chile on Sunday.
And tonight, the NHL season comes down to one game as the Boston Bruins host the St. Louis Blues in a deciding game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
