SU Results, Caps Keep Winning, Nats Announce Limited Fan Attendance

On the Shenandoah University scoreboard, Women’s Volleyball improved to 2-1 and 1-1 in the ODAC by blanking Virginia Wesleyan 3-0. Field Hockey won it’s second straight ODAC match with a 5-2 win over Randolph-Macon.

Today, Hornet Baseball entertains Washington & Lee, while Women’s Soccer hosts Virginia Wesleyan.

The Washington Capitals moved into a first-place tie in the NHL’s Eastern Division with a 3-1 win over the New York Islanders last night. In the win, Alex Ovechkin scored his 718th career goal, moving past Phil Esposito for sixth-place all time. The Caps also ended the Islanders’ 9-game winning streak as they improved to 19-6-4. Washington returns to the ice Friday against the Rangers. The puck drops at 7.

And, the Washington Nationals announced yesterday that they will allow 5,000 fans to attend the team’s Opening Day game Thursday, April 1st against the New York Mets. The club had previously said that no fans would be allowed to start the season. Nats baseball will once again be heard this year on Sports Radio 1450.
