SU Baseball, Softball In Action, Caps Win, 2 Advance In NCAA
There were no games yesterday on the Shenandoah University docket. Baseball travels to Bridgewater today, while Softball hosts Eastern Mennonite in an ODAC doubleheader at 3pm.
A 3-goal second period propelled the Washington Capitals to a 4-1 road win in New Jersey last night. Brett Connolly had a goal and an assist, as the Caps took over sole possession of first place in the NHL’s Metro Division. The Capitals are back in action tonight when they host Tampa Bay at 7:30 on CBS Sports Radio 1450.
The NCAA Basketball Tournament got underway last night with the “First Four” games in Dayton, Ohio. Fairleigh Dickinson came from 13 down to beat Prairie View 82-76, while Belmont advanced by outlasting Temple 81-70. Tonight in Dayton, NC Central takes on North Dakota State, while Arizona State battles St. Johns.
WVU will entertain Grand Canyon tonight in the CBI basketball tournament. Tip off is at 7pm.
The Nats nipped the Braves 3-2 in Spring Training baseball yesterday.
