SU Lax In Action Today, Hokies Fall At FSU, Caps Go For 5 In A Row
No action on the Shenandoah University sports scene yesterday. Both men and women’s lacrosse play at home today. At 3:30 the women host Widener, and at 6:30 the men entertain Alvernia. Both games take place on the Sprint Field of Shentel Stadium.
In college hoop, the number-15 Virginia Tech Hokies dropped a 73-64 overtime road decision to 14th ranked Florida State last night. The Hokies built a commanding 33-19 halftime lead, only to see the Seminoles come all the way back to send the game into OT. FSU then outscored Tech 12-3 in the extra frame. With the loss, the Hokies miss out on a chance at a double-bye in the upcoming ACC Tournament.
The lost season for WVU continues tonight as they host Iowa State in Morgantown. Tip off is at 7.
The Caps are back on the ice tonight in search of their fifth consecutive win when they play at Philadelphia. The Caps are tied for first in the NHL’s Metro Division, while the Flyers are battling for an Eastern Conference playoff spot. Face-off is at 7:30 on Sports Radio 1450.
And the Boston Red Sox put up a 7-spot on in the fourth inning yesterday on the way to an 8-4 Spring Training win. The regular season begins March 28th, and your area play-by-play home once again for Nationals baseball is CBS Sports Radio 1450.
