WVU Cracks CFP Top 10, Caps-Pens Tonight, Wizards Stomped By Mavs
On the Shenandoah University sports scene, Scott Hackett has been named interim head men’s soccer coach. That announcement was made yesterday by Athletic Director, Dr. Bridget Lyons. Hackett, the program’s top assistant for the last 3 seasons, takes that interim post for the second time.
SU football heads to Lexington Saturday for it’s season finale. They’ll play Washington & Lee at 1. Air time is 12:30 on The River 95-3, The Hornets are 4-5, and 2-4 in the ODAC.
The Latest CFP rankings are out, with Alabama & Clemson holding the top two spots. Notre Dame is 3rd, while Michican replaces LSU at number 4. The Tigers fell all the way to seventh after losing to ‘Bama this past weekend. West Virginia cracks the top 10 at number 9.
The Washington Capitals entertain rival Pittsburgh tonight in DC. The Caps are 6-4-3 to start the season and are tied for third with the Pens in the NHL’s Metro Division. You can catch the game starting at 7:15 on NBC SPortsRadio 1450.
The Wizards fell to Dallas last night 119-100. The 2-8 Wizards trailed at the break 70-49 as the Mavericks cruised to the win. John Wall led the Wiz with 24.
And, this week’s guest on “Sports Dogs After Hours” is Sherando football coach Bill Hall, as the Warriors enjoy a bye week in the VHSL playoffs.
