In the first game, Austin Voth threw a complete game 3-hitter in a 5-1 Nats victory. The twinbill sweep knocked the Phillies out of an NL playoff spot for now, with just a handful of games remaining. The Boston Red Sox pounded out 14 hits in an 8-3 win over Baltimore last night. The Birds also committed 3 errors as they fell to 23-32 on the season. 4 Orioles had two hits apiece in the losing effort.
The Sox host the O’s again tonight at 7:30.
