Staunton man arrested for sexually abusing child

Staunton Police arrested Anthony Lewis, 67, of Staunton, on February 2nd from a Budget Inn where he was living on Greenville Avenue.
The arrest stems from allegations he sexually abused a boy under the age of 14 years old in 2021.
He is charged with one count of abduction, two counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor, two counts of forcible sodomy, and two counts of aggravated sexual battery.
He is being held at Middle River Regional Jail without bond.Â
Lewis was previously convicted of forcible sodomy in Rockingham County in 1984.
