Staunton woman charged in string of vehicle break-ins
A Staunton woman has been arrested by Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office deputies on charges related to a string of vehicle break-ins in Mount Jackson. Carrie Massie Robertson, 40, appeared on video entering four different cars at 40 Mount Jackson Road. Police said several items were reported stolen from the vehicles including a purse, cash and two credit cards. Police found bolt cutters and a broken lock when they searched Robertson.
Robertson faces three trespassing charges, one credit card larceny charge, six charges of entering a vehicle and a petit larceny charge. Robertson has pending charges in Harrisonburg and Augusta County and a long criminal history dating back to 2003, according to court documents.
