Strasburg Police respond to a stabbing

The Strasburg Police Department report that they responded to a stabbing and barricade situation on Eberly Street Sept. 27 at 7:20 p.m.

On arrival Officers found a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds to the head.

The unidentified victim was transported and treated at Winchester Medical Center.

The suspect in the stabbing is believed to be Jordan Sowder who authorities believed was barricaded in the residence at 184 North Eberly Street in Strasburg.

After a perimeter was established the Virginia State Police Tactical Team gained entry to find Sowder was gone.

An arrest warrant was issued for Jordan O’Neal Dale Sowder.

The19 year old Sowder was apprehended by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and faces the charges of the class 3 felony of malicious wounding.
