SVEC Good Samaritan Award goes to Winchester resident
A Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) member receives the Good Samaritan Award.
Tina Marie Scully of Winchester is the co-founder of Froggy’s Closet, a downtown Winchester store.
Froggy’s Closet is a part of Families Reaching Out Group (FROG) that provides family mentoring and afterschool enrichment for children.
Froggy’s Closet also provides clothing, books, toys and other items for needy children.
Scully received the award from SVEC for her embodiment of the 7 Cooperative Principle of concern for community according to Brian Mosier president and CEO of the cooperative association.
SVEC has supported FROG through grants, recognizing the important role it plays in the area.
