SVEC Line Worker is injured in the line of duty

In the morning of April 16 a Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) Line Worker was involved in an electrical contact incident.

While on the job in Page County Line Worker Tyler Campbell contacted a live power line wire and was severely burned according SVEC.

Campbell was a part of a crew doing service work for a new connection at a residence.

With the live wire contact Campbell suffered second- and third-degree burns.

Campbell was medevacked out and is receiving care currently at MedStar burn center in Washington D.C.

Campbell has been employed by SVEC since 2022.

SVEC and Campbellā€™s family, friends, and coworkers appreciate the thoughts and support that continue to be received.
