SVEC makes donations to area organizations

Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) allows customers to round each bill up to the next dollar so the cooperative can donate to charity.

With that SVEC was able to donate $22,500 to 14 area organizations.

Beneficiaries’ include Arise and community action of Page County.

Shenandoah Alliance and Strasburg Community Library in Shenandoah County.

Warren County and Blue Ridge Habitats for Humanity. Shenandoah Valley Discover Museum, Wheels for Wellness both in Frederick county.

Other non-profits to benefit are in Augusta, Rockingham and Highland Counties.

The Coop has been able to donate over $110,000 since the program began in 2017.
