SVEC plans a needed power outage affecting 80 homes in Shenandoah Co.

Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC) and the town of Strasburg announced a needed planned power outage for Thursday June 27 through early Friday June 28.

The planned outage is schedule to start on Thursday June 27 around 10 p.m. it may last through Friday morning June 28 at 2 a.m.

The temporary outage will affect about 80 homes around the Settlers Way, Founders Way, Old Valley Pike North, and the new Valley Health Building.

The outage is necessary so SVEC can perform essential maintenance and upgrades to the power grid to ensure the continued safe service.
