WFRD and FCFR respond to a house fire

Just before 1:15 p.m. Monday January, 22 Winchester (WFRD) and Frederick County Fire and Rescue (FCFR) responded to a structure fire.

When firefighters arrived in the 800 block of Berryville Avenue they report the sighting of  smoke emanating from the second floor and attic area of the home.

Thanks to units arriving quickly and acting fast the fire was contained to just one room and extinguished.

Crews remained on the scene for salvage and a thorough check to ensure the fire was completely out.

There were no injuries reported in the incident.
