Frederick County Landfill is accepting electronic project today 12/22

The Frederick County Virginia website reports that today Dec.22 until 11 a.m. you can take electronic products to the regional landfill.

Products like Computers and monitors, Cellphones, Adapters, Dry Cell Batteries, Processors, Televisions, VCRs, Fax Machines, Camcorders and more will be accepted.

Some items will not be stored at the landfill but trucked out to be dismantled and recycled.

End user fees are charged to offset cost of safe disposal of items containing lead and mercury.

Companies and residents are encouraged to take advantage of recycling or ecycling to help protect the environment.

Visitors to the landfill are asked to wear face coverings and stay in their vehicles.

You are asked to bring items in pickups or trailers to be unloaded.
