Furrever Friday – Meet Janet

Meet Janet! Janet is a 6 month Beagle mix who came to the Humane Society as a stray. This little girl is FULL of energy and is bursting at the seams with enthusiasm! She will need a lot of exercise and playtime each day to get out all of her energy (if that’s even possible.) Janet is dog-friendly. However, she will need a playmate that doesn’t mind her annoying ways. She thinks she is part cattle dog and likes to nip the ankles and legs of her four-legged friends. We are unsure of cats but we believe using a slow proper introduction she would learn to coexist with kitty cats. She is likely going to be great with kids but we’d love for them to come to the meet and greet just in case!

Furrever Friday is Sponsored by Shear Elegance Pet Boutique, where they show your pet the love, care, and respect they deserve. Located at 918 John Marshall Highway Front Royal, Va. 22630

Janet is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and 4DX tested. Apply on our website!

News Maker Lavenda Denney on Winchester SPCA’s paws and pages

The Winchester Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is introducing a program that could be relaxing for both humans and adoptable pets.

We spoke to Winchester SPCA Executive Director Lavenda Denney about the program Paws and Pages in our latest news maker.

The good news is brought to you by The Town of Front Royal.

Lavenda explains how reading to the adoptable pets has a real reaction from the animals.

Lavenda also tells us how it can relax the person doing the reading as well.
