Skyline Drive crash sends 5 to trauma centers

Warren County Fire and Rescue (WCFR) reports response to a single vehicle crash on the Skyline Drive.

The call was answered at approximately 3 a.m. on June 11 at mile post 6.

On arrival personnel found a vehicle with significant damage after colliding head on with a tree.

There were multiple people with injuries around the wreck and two were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted.

Air care was called in to transport the victims to local trauma centers.

Emergency crews were on the scene for approximately 2 hours.

The actual cause of the crash has yet to be determined but motorists are reminded that the Skyline Drive maximum speed limit is 35 miles per hour and in some locations less.

Caution is always advised due to the possibility of slick conditions and the possibility of  animals in the road.
