Gov. Youngkin announces job opportunities

An email from Governor Glenn Youngkin announced Amazon expansion in Virginia.

A new one million square foot Amazon center will be opening in Augusta County by spring 2023.

The new non-sortable fulfillment center will provide an additional 500 new jobs in Virginia.

This will be in addition to the already over 30,000 Amazon employees in the state.

The Fishersville facilities will pick, pack and ship bulky or larger sized items for customers.

Youngkin went on to say the Amazon investment is a top priority for his administration helping to jump start the economy.

The email went on to say the governor called this, part of a long term commitment to develop talent and train workers to make Virginia the best state to do business.
