SCSO makes arrest in a shots fired situation

The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) reports making an arrest in the Sat. Aug. 13 shots fired situation.

Shots were reported fired in the 500 block of Hamburg Road in Edinburg.

The unidentified victim reported that Edgar Uriel Padron-Rodriguez came to his residence to pick up someone.

The victim told Padron-Rodriguez to leave his property.

Padron-Rodriguez produced a gun and fired one shot toward the victim.

Padron-Rodriguez then fled the property with the victim left uninjured.

Assistance from agents of the Northwest Virginia Regional Drug and Gang Task Force with Sheriff’s Deputies were able to locate Pardron-Rodriguez and take him into custody.

Pardon-Rodriguez has been charged with attempted malicious wounding, shooting from a vehicle, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, reckless handling of and brandishing a firearm and driving without a license.

Sex offender arrested in West Virginia

Charles Town Resident Joel Keck was arrested on outstanding felony warrants for multiple sex offenses involving minors.

A report from the United States Marshall Service shows that Keck was arrested by the United States Marshals Mountain State Fugitive Task Force.

The task force had been tracking Keck and made a traffic stop in Inwood West Virginia.

Keck was observed in the Development Drive area of Inwood when his vehicle was stopped by authorities.

Keck did attempt a get away but quickly realized he was surrounded and surrendered.

He is currently being held in the Eastern Regional Jail according to the report.

Blacksburg Police make an arrest in Fri. night 2/4 shooting

A social media post from The Blacksburg Police Department (BPD) confirmed an arrest has been made in the Fri. night Feb. 4 shooting near Virginia Tech (VT).

According to the post police obtained six felony warrants against 24 year old Jamel D. Flint of Roanoke.

Flint reportedly turned himself into the BPD Sat. evening Feb. 5 and was taken into custody without incident.

Flint is accused of being the shooter in the death of 18 year old Roanoke high school student Isiah O. Robinson.

Robinson was shot and killed Fri. night Feb. 4 at a hookah lounge near VT in Blacksburg.

Along with a charge of murder Flint faces charges of attempted murder for the wounding of four others in the same incident.

The investigation into the shooting continues.

WPD make arrest in gunfire incident

A social media post from Winchester Police Department (WPD) confirms that an arrest has been made in a Fri. Feb. 4 gunfire incident.

Police responded to a report of gunfire in the 900 block of S. Cameron Street Winchester around 5 p.m..

The incident started as a dispute that escalated to gun fire with no injuries reported.

It has been confirmed in the post that one unidentified male suspect has been arrested and charged with assault in the ongoing investigation.

Stafford County Authorities arrest suspected abductor

The Stafford County sheriff’s Office announced in a social post the arrest of an abduction suspect.

The arrest of 34 year old Steven Randall Williams of Stafford occurred after being suspected of the attempted abduction of  a 9 year old girl.

The girl was walking home from school when Williams reportedly approached her asking for directions when he forced her into his car.

When Williams went around the vehicle the girl unlocked the door and managed to escape.

The girl was able to report the incident to police who placed all forces on alert.

The investigation led to Williams’ house where he barricaded himself in for almost 5 hours.

Authorities tried repeatedly with various methods to get Williams to come out to no avail.

Finally Williams surrendered and is currently being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail awaiting evaluation and bond hearing.

SCSO make an arrest in the theft of two truck

A social post from the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) shows an arrest has been made in the theft of two trucks.

Brandon L. Showman has been arrested and charged with two counts of Felony Larceny.

Showman was found in possession of a reported stolen Ford F 250 and is implicated in the theft of a silver Dodge Ram 1500 as well.

Authorities continue to search for the Dodge Ram truck.

Anyone with information on that truck is asked to call the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 459-6100.

Authorities arrest a suspect in the shopping cart murders

In a social media post from the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) it was announced that an arrest has been made in the so called shopping cart killer case.

Harrisonburg and Fairfax County authorities have arrested 35 year Anthony Robinson of Washington D.C..

It is believed that Robinson was involved in the deaths of several women found across Virginia including Harrisonburg.

The victims were taken to the location they were found in a shopping cart thus the name shopping cart killer.

Two victims have been identified as Allene Elizabeth Redmon of Harrisonburg and Tonita Lorice Smith of Charlottesville.

Authorities believe Robinson met the victims online and took them to a motel where he killed them then transported them.

Authorities also believe there might be more victims of Robinson’s.
