MayFest continues in Strasburg

Strasburg’s MayFest continues today with the MayFest Parade at 2 p.m. and entertainment all day long.

Morning events included the Strasburg MayFest 5K and the Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast.

The Strasburg Museum is offering free admission all day, featuring commemorative MayFest pots to be auctioned.

Arts and crafts and business vendors will be set up through 5 p.m. at Strasburg Square & Pavilion; Town Hall Parking Lot and The Strasburg Emporium, with food available through 9 p.m. at South Holliday and King streets and The Strasburg Emporium.

KidZone is free and will be open through 4 p.m. on North Holliday Street.

Entertainment will include DJ Tony Knave at the Strasburg Fire Department, Five of a Kind at The Strasburg Emporium, local musicians’ classic country until 2 p.m. and DJ Derek Good from 4 to 8 p.m. at the South Holliday Street food court, and Cazhmiere from 7 to 10 p.m. at Strasburg Square.

MayFest will culminate Sunday with the Old-Timers Baseball Game sponsored by Sager Real Estate. First pitch is at 1:30 p.m. at Sandy Hook Elementary School.


Mingle with Kringle at the YDC


The Youth Development Center in Winchester invites you to “Mingle with Kringle” today from 10 am to noon.

This event will feature arts and crafts, a cookie decorating station, refreshments, and pictures with Santa.

The pictures will be taken outside to help with spacing.

Photographs will be emailed to the participants after the event.

Registration through their website is encouraged for this free event to help the YDC have an estimate on how many visitors to prepare for.
