A newsletter from Winchester Regional Airport (WRA) announced an award for their services.

WRA has been selected to receive the 2021 Frank G. Brewer Memorial Aerospace Education Award.

Nominees for the award are evaluated on Civil Air Patrol program support.

WRA has been recognized for significance of accomplishment, community involvement and support of all facets of the aerospace education mission over at least 5 years.

This award commemorates over thirty years of faithful support by the WRA for the Winchester Composite Squadron.

Some of that support includes provisions of hanger facilities, aircraft tie downs, meeting space and direct assistance for emergency services for several interstate Civil Air Patrol squadrons.

The award will be received at the Winchester Airport Board meeting on Thursday April 14 at 5 p.m..
