VBL All Star Game in Front Royal

The Valley Baseball League All Star Game will be held on Sunday at Bing Crosby Stadium in Front Royal.

The All Star Game festivities had previously been held at Veterans Memorial Park in Harrisonburg.

The town will welcome fans from around the area and college baseball players from around the country for the game and contests.

The Front Royal Cardinals will be represented by Bryce Fisher, Sean Means, Drew Camp, and Trent Jeffcoat.

Jo Jo Jackson will participate in the Home Run Derby as well as the All Star Game.

The first event is a 60 yard dash contest starting at 2:30.

Next is batting practice from 3:00-4:30 followed by the Home Run Derby at 5:00.

An autograph session will be hosted after the Derby.

Before first pitch at 6:55 pm, the Valley Baseball League’s Hall of Fame class of 2022 will be recognized.

Little League Night at the Bing

The Front Royal Cardinals are hosting Little League Night this evening at Bing Crosby Stadium.

Gate open at 5:30 with activities and vendors ready to roll until first pitch at 7 pm.

Admission is free thanks to Green to Ground Electrical Services and is a great way to support the Cardinals and Front Royal Little League.

Little Leaguers are encouraged to wear their uniforms and will get to run on the field with the players before the game.

The Cardinals enter the game with a 5-6 record on the season and face the Woodstock River Bandits who are off to a decent start at 8-5.

News Maker Donna Settle on Valley Baseball All Star Game

This year Bing Crosby Stadium will host the Valley League Baseball All Star game July 17.

We spoke with Front Royal Cardinals President Donna Settle about the event in our latest news maker.

Logan Series Community Day

The Safe At Home- Logan Series Community Day will be held from 4 pm to 8 pm today at Bing Crosby Stadium.

Reaching Out Now, the Front Royal Cardinals, and the Logan Maiatico Foundation are coming together for the event.

There will be three baseball games played by members of the community ranging from Alumni to current students.

The event is intended to become an annual gathering.

Proceeds will go to the Logan Maiatico Foundation to provide two scholarships for athletes from Warren County and Skyline High School.

Tickets are on sale now at reachingoutnow.org and admission is free for children under 13.

News Makers Meghan Bowers & Roxanne Bauserman on the Zombie Walk

The Front Royal Zombie Walk is tomorrow Oct. 23 benefiting the Humane Society of Warren County.

We talk to Humane Society’s Executive Director Meghan Bowers and the creator of the Zombie Walk Roxanne Bauserman in today’s news maker.

We talk to Meghan about donation pick up and her favorite part of the walk.

Roxanne talks about where to find a donation list and what to expect once the Zombies reach their destination.

The Virginia Beer Museum on Chester St. is the destination for the Zombies.

The museum will be transformed into the Virginia Boo Museum for the night with the River Driven Band and special food from the Pave Mint Smokin’ Taphouse as well.

The Zombie Walk is a fun event that starts at Bing Crosby Stadium tomorrow night at 5:30.
