BRNGTF wraps an investigation that leads to 24 felony charges

Virginia State Police (VSP) report by email that the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force (BRNGTF) wrapped up an investigation that resulted in at least 24 felony charges.

The 5 month long investigation affects multiple jurisdiction in Virginia.

Multiple search warrants were executed on Wednesday December 13 that resulted in the arrest of 10 people and those 24 felony charges.

During the searches over 1,850 grams of cocaine, 550 grams of methamphetamine, 430,000 grams of marijuana, 1,000 grams of mushrooms, and smaller amounts of narcotics were confiscated.

Authorities also confiscated weapons and over $380,000 in U.S. currency.

It is believed that the drugs were distributed by the 10 individuals into Fauquier, Loudoun, Orange, Stafford, and Alexandria Counties among other areas.

The BRNGTF is composed of law enforcement officers from 9 different agencies under the command of Virginia State Police.
