News Maker Fern Vazquez on C-CAP’s community gardens

Front Royal Warren County Congregational Community Action Project (C-CAP) is getting their three community gardens ready for the season.

Preparations began May 6 and planting is planned for May 13.

We spoke to lead garden volunteer Fern Vazquez about what is next in our latest news maker.

Fern tells us that volunteers are needed for all aspects of gardening this year as they have now acquired space for another garden.

She also tells us that volunteering is only a couple hours a day starting around 8 a.m.

Fern has information on how to get in touch if you would like to help in the community effort to feed those in need.
