Used by permission by the Warren County Office employee Sergeant Terry Fritts

In 2021, 740 children under the age of 13 were killed in passenger vehicle accidents and more than 100,000 were injured.

More than 36 percent of these children who died were unrestrained.

Warren County Sheriff’s Office is inviting the public to come out today, September 23rd.

Between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm to speak with their safety seat technicians.

They can answer your questions and ensure that your child’s safety seat is properly installed.

WCSO joins National Seat Check Saturday

Warren County Sheriff's Office

National Seat Check Saturday is today and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office is offering free car seat checks.

From 10 am to 1 pm today at their office on Skyline Vista Drive, they will have certified technicians checking car seats and educating parents and caregivers of the importance of a proper car seat.

The National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration has found that 46% of car seats are misused or an inappropriate size.

Children 8-12 are especially at risk as many parents skip the booster seat step when moving on from a car seat.
