A week long celebration of Veterans at LFCC
An email from Sally Voth Public Relations Coordinator of Lord Fairfax Community College states that the school will be celebrating Veterans the week of Nov. 8-12.
Social post of student Veterans will be made all week to offer messages of support both on the post and at the school.
Student Veterans are being offered lunches at the Luray campus on Mon. Nov. 8 from 12 to 12:30.
Lunch for Student Veterans will be offered both Tues. Nov. 9 and Wed. Nov. 10 at the Faquier and Middletown campuses.
On Veterans Day a Zoom celebration will be held on Veterans Day itself Nov. 11 to participate in the week long celebration visit lffcc.edu/veteransweek.
For the past 11 years LFCC has been honored to be named a Military Friendly® School.
The distinction is determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council, using survey responses and publicly- available data.
Dedicated Veterans centers are located at both the Middletown and Fauquier campuses where students are able to meet with advisors and fellow Veterans.
The email went on to read that LFCC is a Virginia Values Veterans (V3) partner as such the school has received education and training in the best practices of recruiting, hiring and retaining employee veterans.
