Family Promise of Shenandoah County brings awareness of the issues of homelessness and other challenges of the families of the county.

According to the organization’s press release they will honor Family Promise week with two events.

The first will be held Oct. 24 at Antioch Church 23502 Senedo Rd. Woodstock from 2 to 4.

The second event takes place Thurs. Oct. 28 when an open house will be held from 10:30 to 4 at 781 Spring Parkway in Woodstock.

The propose of the events is to bring awareness to the fact that one in sixteen children are homeless before first grade according to the press release.

The gatherings wish to bring awareness and solutions to this alarming statistic.
