New teachers welcomed to Warren County
The Front Royal Warren Chamber of Commerce will host a reception for new teachers on Tuesday.
The reception will welcome almost 100 new teachers for the 2022-23 school year at Warren County Middle School starting at 11:30 am.
If you would like your organization to be represented at the event contact the Chamber at 201 East Main Street Front Royal no later than Monday.
Items for the teacher welcome bags must be dropped off at the Chamber Office by noon Monday.
News Maker Niki Foster on the return of Wine and Craft
The Virginia Wine and Craft Festival returns to Front Royal on May 21.
We spoke with Front Royal Chamber of Commerce President Niki Foster about it in our latest news maker.

REC is named large business of the year
A press release from Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) shows that the cooperative has been named large business of the year.
The designation comes from the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber represents over 430 businesses, civic organizations, educational institutions and entrepreneurs.
REC was recognized for its commitment to its member owners and communities they serve.
REC was sighted for the community support it offers from grants, donations and volunteerism to performing their daily duties of providing power to the communities they serve.

Front Royal offers refunds on VA. Wine and Craft tickets and fees
The Front Royal Chamber of Commerce regretted having to cancel the fall edition of VA. Wine and Craft Festival in downtown Front Royal.
If you were holding advance tickets to the event a full refund on your purchase is available.
Vendor fee returns are available or you are offered the option of using that to secure your position for the May 21, 2022 event.

Front Royal Chamber cancels Business after Hours
The Front Royal Chamber of Commerce, with regrets, have decided to cancel tomorrow’s Business after Hours meeting.
Due to the continued rise in COVID-19 case numbers in the community the decision was made to cancel the Aug. 19 program.
The Chamber will continue to monitor the numbers and will make decisions on future indoor events accordingly.

Waggin’ for Dragons is back Aug. 7
One of the region’s biggest fundraisers is set for Aug. 7 benefiting the United Way, Chamber of Commerce and Humane Society of Front Royal Warren County .
Waggin’ for Dragons is a boat race along the Shenandoah River with teams of 20 members.
This is a great opportunity for team building for businesses, churches, families and friends but prepping is essential.
There are also opportunities for sponsorship as well as volunteering.

Front Royal Warren County offers consulting service
In an effort to kickstart the local economic recovery from the Coronavirus pandemic.
The town of Front Royal and the Warren County Chamber of Commerce are partnering to offer small business consulting services.
Herb Melrath is a former Front Royal business owner and currently runs his own consulting business locally.
Contact Mr. Melrath at (719) 284-2291 to set up an appointment for a consultation.
The service is available to prospective and existing business owners.
Front Royal Warren County Chamber membership is not required for this service.
