Am. Red Cross Honors the Zuckermans with a blood drive today 10/25

The American Red Cross Blood Drive today Oct. 25 is in honor of Virginia and Charles Zuckerman.

The former Mayor of Winchester Charles Zuckerman donated over 38 gallons of blood in his lifetime.

According to the American Red Cross the drive today Oct.25 honors both the Zuckermans for their continued contributions over the years.

The blood drive is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the George Washington Hotel in Winchester sponsored by Westminster Canterbury.

The River 953’s Randy Woodward is there from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to encourage contributions in this critical time for the American Red Cross.

Appointments can be made at redcrossblood.org using the name Zuckerman in the find a blood drive window in the upper right hand side of the website.

We spoke to the Zuckerman’s daughter Kitty about how important this drive is and honoring her parents.

News Maker Kitty Zuckerman on the Mon. 10/25 Red Cross Blood Drive

Monday Oct. 25 the red cross blood drive will be held at the George Washington Hotel in Winchester from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m..

This drive is in honor of former Winchester Mayor Charles and his wife Virginia Zuckerman.

Charles gave blood every chance he could in fact giving over 38 gallons which is why the American Red Cross honors him.
